Community Gardening Project
UNISON Lifelong Learning
will be launching a community garden at County Hall at the end of July. The
site will be available for Norfolk County Council staff to use to grow their
own fruits, vegetables and flowers before work, during their lunch break and
after work. Unison hopes this project
will provide staff with a green space where they can learn to grow their own
produce, promote staff wellbeing and increase positive interaction between
members of the workforce. Spaces in the community garden are limited and will
be allocated to staff via a sign up list. You do not have to be a UNISON member
to take part.
We need your old gardening tools. Please donate.
To make sure this project is
a success UNISON is requesting donations of gardening tools, plants and seeds
to give our new gardeners the best possible start.
To sign up or to donate to the project please
contact Melissa Brown UNISON lifelong learning project worker at melissabrown.unison@btconnect.com or on 07717517564.
